Ontario Top Ten Breakdown: Top Viewed Prospect Profiles - #9 Ben Abram

Ben Abram#9 Ben Abram, RHP, 2018 (Oklahoma commit)
Background: Abram is a 6-foot-7, 220-pound righty who uses his long frame to work downhill and get on top of hitters with his 84-87 mph fastball. Abram has a very projectable pitcher’s body. He shows good balance and body control for size, while throwing strikes and staying around the zone with his pitches. He mixes in off-speed with a curveball at 73-74 mph that shows 11/5 shape, while including a changeup at 76-77 mph. Abram also showcases a 78-79 mph splitter with good downward movement. High ceiling righty who meets the eye-test with signs of pitchability as well.

Overview: What a year in 2016 for Ben Abram. The 6-foot-7 projectable righty has solidified his spot in the top 5 for his class, sitting at the number two spot in the 2018 rankings in Ontario, while coming in at 194 overall. Look for Abram to improve with every pitch and with his high ceiling, look for many to keep eyes on him down the line.
