5-foot-6, 135-pound, smaller, young athletic frame, showing good strength for his age. A right-handed hitting catcher, worked off the mound also, showing well on both sides of the field. At the plate, balanced throughout, starting slightly open, taller stance, with hands being relaxed and quiet at shoulder height. The hands have movement back on foot strike. The swing is level to up, hands stay inside the baseball, middle approach. Showed hard consistent contact, driving the baseball to all fields. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 79 mph and ran a 7.85 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, threw 70 mph down to second base, with a pop time of 2.25. The setup is low and athletic to the ground, feet are quick, right foot replaces left. Showed strong hands receiving, securing the pitch, getting around the baseball. Moves well to both sides, gets to feet quickly. Off the mound, pounded the zone with a two pitch mix, fastball was clocked at 72 mph and threw a small slider at 56 mph. The delivery is more of a hybrid start, easy leg lift landing inline to plate. The arm action is clean working from a 3/4 natural slot. Projects for me more behind the plate, has feel with the bat, looks to really like his craft as a catcher.
