Ben Dotterer: RHP/OF, (2026) Ridgefield, CT. 5-foot-8, 115-pound slim athletic frame. Raw at the plate, Dotterer recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph. (54.2 mph bat speed average). (16.9 mph hand speed average). Began in a tall stance with a tight load, then used a short stride. Has above average bat speed, short swing plane and a front foot finish. Found some barrels with some loud contact. Pull side approach. Projectable in the outfield, his throws to the bases were maxed out at 72 mph; showed soft hands, a clean natural exchange, and average feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Used a loose arm action with a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Clocked a 60 time of 7.87 at the event. Projectable on the mound, showed good arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a loose arm action. Up-tempo stretch only type pitcher who shows some effort. Has a low balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Sat with his fastball at 70-72 mph. shows both sides of the plate control. (Max spin 1836; Avg 1751). His 1/7 curveball (65-66) shows slurvey early action and glove side command. (Max spin 1689; Avg 1643). His changeup (67-70) shows arm side command and fading action.
