Smooth recorded an outfield position velocity of 80 mph; had next level hands, a quick exchange, and athletic footwork. Fielded the ball out front with twitchy movement laterally. Used a short quick arm action and a high ¾ slot while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Established speed as one of his strengths with an efficient 60 time of 6.91.
