3/7/17

5-foot-8, 160-pound, strong athletic frame. The hands, wrists and legs have good strength to them, is put together well, is a fast twitch athletic kid. A right-handed hitter who has pop and juice in his hands. The stance is balanced throughout, feet are shoulder width apart, are even. The hands are set at shoulder height, are relaxed and loose. For timing uses a no stride approach, the hands start back and stay back, gets good separation from the body. The swing path is down to level to up, finishes high with one hand. The hands stay inside the baseball, keeps the barrel in the zone a long time, gets through it well. The approach is middle of the field, from gap to gap, took two solid rounds of batting practice. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 83 mph and ran an easy 7.09 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, plays up the middle. The feet are quick work well with hands, fields the baseball out front. The transfer is quick, keeps feet moving throughout. The arm works out of a higher slot, clocked at 78 mph, across the diamond, has plenty of arm strength. Plays with a ton of energy, projects more of a second baseman, a move to the outfield could happen, has the ability to track down the baseball with his legs, shows potential to hit, has tools to work with.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.09

Exit Velocity: 83 mph

Arm Velocity: 78 mph

12/4/16

5-foot-8, 160-pound, strong athletic frame. The hands and wrists have strength to them. The shoulders and back are put together well. A right-handed hitter, the stance is slightly open to even, the hands are sent lower than the shoulders, is extremely quick to the ball. The swing is level to up, could stay through it a little longer, barrel is in and out at times. The approach is more line drive, squared it up one after another. The tee exit velocity was 85 mph, has strength is his swing. The sixty yard dash was 7.16, has an athletic kick, with a good stride. Defensively, plays up the middle more of a second baseman. Works from the ground up, hands are soft, fields ball out front, keeps his feet moving throughout. The arm action is short, with a crank like action to it, comes out of a higher slot, clocked at 73 mph, stands up at times to make throws needs to stay down through it more. Started the feeds well, moved well to glove side. Shows the ability to swing and run, needs to play second or let him run around in the outfield. Looks like a gamer someone to see this spring.
