Chase Plourde: OF/RHP, (2025) Windham Technical, CT. 5-foot-6, 135-pound lean athletic frame. Projectable during batting practice, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 79 mph. (60.8 mph bat speed average). (17.4 mph hand speed average). Starts in a tall athletic stance with a high load, then uses a controlled stride. Had above average bat speed, short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. In the round he found some barrels with loud contact. Up the middle approach. Above average from the outfield, he showed the ability to throw at velocities up to 77 mph; has a twitchy exchange, soft hands, and quick aggressive feet. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. From a high ¾ slot, showed consistent accuracy to the bag with a short quick arm action. During the event, recorded a 60 time of 7.37. Projectable on the mound, used a short arm action and a high ¾ arm angle while showing quick arm speed. Tall-and-fall up-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Displays in line shoulders and a strong balance point. Lands hard with an athletic finish. Slider (71-72 mph). Produced a fastball that came in at 74-76 mph; has sinking action and both sides of the plate command. (Max spin 2115; Avg 2024). His 1/7 curveball (63-65) has slurvey action and glove side command. (Max spin 2302; Avg 2245).
