Colby DiMenna: OF/RHP, (2024) Cromwell High School, CT. 5-foot-11, 150-pound lean athletic frame. Above average in the box, Dimenna had a max exit velocity of 84 mph. (66.8 mph bat speed average). (21.5 mph hand speed average). Started in an athletic tall stance with a rhythmic smooth load, then used a controlled leg kick. Had quick bat speed, loose simple swing plane and good extension on his high finish. Had tons of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Line drive gap to gap approach. Above average from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 83 mph; shows soft hands, a twitchy exchange, and athletic quick feet. Fields the ball out front to the side, movements laterally were athletic. Had a loose arm action and a ¾ slot with consistent accuracy to the base. Above average projectable on the mound, showed a ¾ arm angle and a long loose arm action with quick arm speed. Tall-and-fall feel type pitcher who uses easy effort. Balance is tall point with an even in line shoulders in his delivery. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 76-78 mph; has sinking action and arm side control. (Max spin 1890; Avg 1773). His changeup (73-74) shows arm side command and fading swing and miss action. Had a 2/8 slider (66-67) that showed late tilt action and glove side control. (Max spin 2284; Avg 2143).
