5-foot-6, 142-pound, smaller, thin young athletic frame, with room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitting two-way player. At the plate, feet are even slightly wider than shoulder width, hands are loose and relaxed, titled set up. For timing, uses a small smooth leg kick, steps in slightly, could straighten path, get more backside involved. The swing is down to level to up, gets around the baseball at times, reps and practice can shorten. The approach is more middle to pull side, more lines, with an exit velocity of 71 mph, and ran a 4.98 home to first. Defensively, showed clean crisp actions at shortstop, hands are soft out front, comes through the baseball. The arm works from a lower slot, clocked at 63 mph. Off the mound, smooth easy repeatable delivery, lift is smaller, knee to knee, loaded on the back side. The stride is inline and has extension out front on release. The arm works from a lower 3/4 slot, fastball clocked at 68 mph, mixed in a sweeping slider at 58 mph. Overall conditioning and a regimented throwing program will aid in his development.
