6-foot-2, 170-pound, longer, lean wiry strong, athletic frame, wider back, with plenty of room for added weight gains. A right-handed pitcher, working from the stretch position, repeats the delivery, very smooth. The lift is athletic, strong on the post leg, gliding out down the mound. The arm action is long and loose, very clean, working out of a 3/4 to higher 3/4 slot. The fastball was located to both sides of the plate, 4-seam through the catcher, fastball clocked 79 mph. The breaking ball showed very well, good spin and shape to it, clocked at 65-67 mph. The changeup was thrown strikes, arm side fade action, comes out of really well, looks like a fastball, clocked at 70-72 mph. Love the projection, chance to throw with some velocity.
10/26/19
6-foot-1, 163-pound, longer, lengthy, athletic frame. The neck is long, shoulders are squared off, has plenty of room for added weight, should be pretty physical at some point. A two-way player, was impressive on both sides of the field. At the plate, wider stance, hands close to frame, swing is athletic, lift to it, cuts off at the end, has more extension at backend. Creates natural lift and backspin, had a tee exit velocity of 79 mph, with a ton more in there as he adds strength, chance to be a power guy at some point. Runs well, ran a 7.28 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, threw 73 mph from the outfield, arm works with easy effort from a higher slot. More of a shuffle for the transfer, could gain ground. Off the mound, arm action is super loose and clean, working out of a 3/4 to higher 3/4 slot. The fastball has sink and run to it, clocked at 75-77 mph. The breaking pitch is bigger, clocked at 64-66 mph, needs more fastball hand speed. Showed serious feel for the changeup, repeats with down action to it, clocked at 70-72 mph. Solid two-way follow, time will tell which way he goes, needs strength throughout.
