Jacob Skinner: RHP/OF, (2024) Farmington, CT. 6-foot, 233-pound mature strong frame. Above average at the plate, the right-handed hitter's best exit velocity was 88 mph. (69.1 mph bat speed average). (21.9 mph hand speed average). Begins in a wide balanced stance with a smooth controlled load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed is explosive, displays a loose upward swing plane and high finish. He found multiple barrels with tons of loud contact. Pull side aggressive approach. Projectable from the outfield, he displayed a position velocity of 70 mph; shows developing feet, a quick clean exchange, and soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were average. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a short quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. In the 60-yard dash, he clocked a time of 7.67. Above average projectable on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle with a long loose arm action while showing quick arm speed. Stretch only up-tempo type pitcher and uses easy effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 77-78 mph; showed arm side command and sinking action with heavy movement. (Max spin 1735; Avg 1591). Has slurvey action and glove side command on his 1/7 curveball (65-66). (Max spin 1762; Avg 1687). Showed fading action and arm side control on his changeup (68-71). His 2/8 slider (65-69) has down in the zone control and swing and miss action. (Max spin 1549; Avg 1429). Like the projection off the mound.
