James Schafer: RHP/OF, (2025) Xavier, CT. 5-foot-9, 170-pound. Solid on the mound, showed consistent arm speed, also used a compact arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Drop-and-drive type pitcher who shows some effort. He has even shoulders with an athletic balance point. Had slight running action. (Max spin 1949; Avg 1799). Throws a 10/4 slider that has some action. (Max spin 2111; Avg 1965).
James Schafer: RHP/OF, (2025) Xavier, CT. 5-foot-9, 170-pound athletic mature frame. Above average advanced on the mound, showed a short clean arm action with lightning arm speed. Tall-and-fall up-tempo type pitcher and shows easy effort. He has downhill in line shoulders with a strong balance point. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Threw his fastball 80-83 mph; has late hard action and arm side command. (Max spin 1731; Avg 1674). His changeup (75-76) shows fading swing and miss action and arm side command. His wipeout slider (70-71) showed glove side control and tight late action. Spin pitch is advanced.
