Jason Brucato: RHP/1B, (2025) Cheshire Academy, CT. 5-foot-9, 175-pound mature strong build. Solid during batting practice, Brucato's best exit velocity was 89 mph. (67.6 mph bat speed average). (18.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a rhythmic load, then uses a short controlled stride. Bat speed was quick electric, showed a level loose swing plane and high finish. He created tons of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Solid athletic while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 75 mph; shows athletic smooth feet, a clean natural exchange, and soft hands. Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball out front. Consistent accuracy to the bases, used a ¾ slot and a short quick arm action. Above average on the mound, showing quick arm speed he used a loose clean arm action and a ¾ arm angle. Tall-and-fall feel type pitcher and uses easy effort. Has a strong balance point with in line downhill shoulders. Lands square with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 75-77 mph; shows sinking action and arm side command. (Max spin 1947; Avg 1883). Threw a 1/7 curveball (64-66) that showed slurvey action and glove side control. (Max spin 2614; Avg 2580). Showed fading swing and miss action and arm side control on his changeup (65-67).
