10/26/19

6-foot-1, 160-pound, longer, lean athletic frame, with plenty of room for added strength and mass. A switch hitting catcher, swings it very well from the left-side, the catching and receiving is advanced for his age. Both swings are level to up, with left side creating a bit more lift and loft. The right-side, more of a line drive approach. Stances, are similar, slightly open, loose and hands at the shoulders, simple pickup and put down. Right-side had a tee exit of 82 mph and left-side was clocked at 80 mph. The right-side has more strength, swing works better from the left. Runs very well for a catcher, ran a 7.12 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, setup is relaxed, low to the ground, slight quarter turn, hands are soft and strong, secures the pitch very well, keeps strikes in strike zone, doesn't lose many pitches. The blocking is advanced, gets hands down right away, and moves well getting around the baseball. The pop time was clocked at 2.13-2.26,  arm was clocked at  72 mph. Look for the arm to take off at the some point, works with easy effort.

Tee Exit Velocity: 82 mph
Arm Velocity: 72 mph

2/26/19

5-foot-10, 145-pound, longer, lean, athletic frame, with plenty of room to fill out and put mass. A switch-hitting catcher, showed well on both sides of the field, runs extremely well, clocked at 4.28 from home to first. At the plate, from the left-side had a tee exit velocity of 73 mph, even feet, swing has a bit more lift and loft. The lower half is under control, could continue to keep momentum moving forward. The swing is smooth, looks to keep hands inside the baseball. The approach is more middle to pull side, had hard contact in batting practice. From the right side, stance is even, loose hands at the shoulders. The swing is bit more quick, shorter to the baseball, level, clean path to and through the baseball. Shows to have a minimal stride to lower half. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 79 mph, baseball jumps. Defensively, arm was clocked at 70 mph, from a ¾ slot, pop time of 2.31. The hands are soft on the catch, moves very well behind the dish, gets around the baseball, looks to drop down to block. The frontside glove shoulder needs to be locked down longer, gets off line at times. Overall the defensive side is advanced for his age, one of the better players around, will be attending the junior futures.

Tee Exit Velocity: 79 mph
Arm Velocity: 70 mph
Home to 1st: 4.28
