Leighton Pelaccia: C/1B, (2026) Christian heritage, CT. 5-foot-10, 185-pound athletic solid build. Above average projectable at the plate, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 82 mph. (61.8 mph bat speed average). (17.7 mph hand speed average). Began in a balanced athletic stance with a smooth rhythmic load, then used a controlled toe tap stride. Bat speed was electric, showed a short simple swing plane and high finish. He created loud contact and found lots of barrels. Gap to gap line drive approach. Above average in the infield, his best throw was recorded at 69 mph; showed soft hands, a twitchy exchange, and quick feet. Laterally, movements were average and fielded the ball out front. While catching, throw downs to second topped out at 65 mph; had smooth footwork, soft hands, and a developing transfer. he had a pop time of 2.25-2.34. Some flexibility and wide athletic setup. Used a high ¾ slot with a short arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the bag. Clocked a 60 time of 8.4 at the event.
