Starts in a balanced quiet stance with a controlled load, then uses a small leg kick. Bat speed was efficient, used an uphill swing plane and balanced finish. Behind the plate, throw downs to second topped out at 69 mph; shows consistent hands, a natural transfer, and quick feet. produced pop times of 2.04-2.11. Clean setup with some flexibility. Showed a high ¾ slot with a quick arm action. During the event, clocked a 60 time of 7.36.
Max Pierce: C/OF, (2026) Southington, CT. 5-foot-9, 138-pound athletic lean build. Projectable in the box, the right-handed hitter had an exit velocity of 79 mph. (63.4 mph bat speed average). (20.0 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall narrow stance with a smooth load, then used a short controlled stride. Bat speed is quick, exhibits a short simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. In his round he found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap line drive approach. Behind the plate, his best recorded velocity during throw downs was clocked at 67 mph; showed a quick transfer, twitchy hands, and athletic smooth feet. recorded pop times of 2.12-2.25. Quiet setup with tons of flexibility. Used a high ¾ slot with a short quick arm action while showing consistent accuracy to the base. Clocked a 60 time of 7.0 at the event. Love the ability to catch and moves very well behind the plate.

Pierce starts in a balanced, athletic stance with the hands set just off the back shoulder. A controlled stride triggers a simple, flat swing that stays on plane through his finish.
