Solid projectable at the plate, the left-handed hitter's 83 mph exit velocity ranks him 3rd at the event. (64.2 mph bat speed average). (19.1 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic balanced stance with a handsy load, then used a short quick stride. Bat speed was quick, used a loose level swing plane and a front foot good extension on his finish. Found multiple barrels with a lot of loud contact. Pull side approach. From the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 79 mph. During the event, ran the 60-yard dash in 8.44. Above average on the mound, showed quick arm speed, also used a high ¾ arm angle with a short loose arm action. Tall-and-fall feel type pitcher who shows easy effort. Has a strong balance point with even in line shoulders. Lands square with an athletic balanced finish. Sat with his fastball at 76-78 mph; had arm side control and sinking action. (Max spin 2122; Avg 2036). His 11/5 curveball (64-65) had slurvey action and glove side command. (Max spin 2154; Avg 2049). Solid in the outfield, he showed the ability to make throws to the bases at 78 mph; had sure hands, fluid footwork, and a developing exchange.
