Zach Melillo: 2B/SS, (2025) Wethersfield, CT. 5-foot-8, 175-pound athletic strong build. Solid at the plate, Melillo recorded an exit velocity of 84 mph. (68.7 mph bat speed average). (19.3 mph hand speed average). Started in a tall quiet stance with a tight compact load, then used a short controlled stride. Bat speed is above average, has a short simple swing plane and high finish. Created a lot of loud contact and found multiple barrels. Pull side approach. Above average while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 71 mph; had next level hands, a twitchy exchange, and athletic smooth footwork. Fielded the ball out front with quick movement laterally. Showed a short quick arm action and a high ¾ slot.
