Zachary Pugliese: SS/2B, (2026) EO Smith, CT. 5-foot-4, 110-pound athletic projectable build. Smooth projectable in the box, Pugliese's best exit velocity was 73 mph. (61.2 mph bat speed average). (18.1 mph hand speed average). Began in an athletic balanced stance with a compact load, then used a controlled small leg kick. Bat speed was average, displayed a short upward swing plane and high finish. Had loud contact and found some barrels. Up the middle line drive approach. Above average advanced while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 75 mph; had next level hands, quick fluid footwork, and a twitchy exchange. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were athletic. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a short quick arm action with a high ¾ slot. Projectable on the mound, used a high ¾ arm angle and a long loose arm action while showing good arm speed. Stretch only feel type pitcher and uses easy effort. He has in line shoulders and a strong balance point. Lands square. Sat with his fastball at 69-71 mph; shows arm side command and sinking action. (Max spin 2038; Avg 1869). Has slurvey action and glove side control on his curveball (61-64). (Max spin 2238; Avg 2164). His changeup (67-68) had arm side control and fading action. His slider (63-65) has late action and down in the zone command. (Max spin 2418; Avg 2329)
