6/08/19

5-foot-8, 140-pound, wiry strong athletic frame. Shows to have fast twitch actions to him. A right-handed hitting catcher, defensively is athletic behind the plate. The setup is low and wide, gains ground on the transfer, feet and hands work well together. The arm action is short, clean and has whip like action to it, clocked at 75 mph, with a pop time 2.13-2.22. The hands are soft on the catch, gets behind the baseball, keeps the baseball in the strike zone. Also worked out in outfield, arm has strength, clocked at 81 mph. Steps behind, could gain more ground. At the plate, open stance, wider than shoulders, hands are super loose, bat having tilt to it.  The hands work freely through the zone, barrel has life and whip to it. The stance is balanced slightly open, hands are super loose at the shoulders, bat starting in a tilted position. The approach is more middle of the field, looks to keep the hands inside the baseball. Took a solid round of batting practice, had a tee exit velocity of 80 mph and ran a 7.70 sixty-yard dash. Advanced on the defensive side.

Exit Velocity: 80 mph
Arm Velocity: 81 mph-OF, 75 mph-C
Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.87

9/16/18

5-foot-8, 130-pound, smaller, thin athletic frame. The shoulders are squared off, has room for future development. A right-handed hitting, catcher and outfielder. At the plate, hands are loose and set slightly lower than shoulder height. The front foot starts open, a taller stance, lower half is under control and gains ground with stride foot. The swing is very short to the baseball, could get more separation in loading phase. The path is down to level to up, finishing high with one hand.  The approach is more gap to gap, spraying one line drive after another. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 78 mph and ran a 7.4 sixty-yard dash. Defensively, had a pop time of 2.19-2.28, arm was clocked at 73 mph. The arm works out of a high ¾ slot, arm action is super short and clean on the back side. The feet work well, short quick steps, gaining ground. The hands are soft on the catch, gets low to ground, good instincts on the dirt ball. The arm was clocked at 74 mph, slightly longer arm swing from outfield, used more of shuffle for the transfer. Interesting prospect, valuable playing multiple positions.

Sixty-Yard Dash- 7.40
Exit Velocity: 78 MPH
Arm Velocity: C-73 MPH, OF-74 MPH
