Christian McCarthy: SS/2B, (2026) St Johns Preparatory School, MA. 5-foot-9, 160-pound athletic lean frame. Projectable in the box, the right-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 88 mph. (65.0 mph bat speed average). (20.1 mph hand speed average). Begins in a narrow balanced stance with a high handsy load, then uses a short stride. Has developing bat speed, loose uphill swing plane and a back foot finish. He found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Capable while in the infield, made throws up to 75 mph; has developing consistent feet, a natural exchange, and developing soft hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Showed a high ¾ slot and consistent accuracy to the bag. (Max spin ; Avg ).
5-foot-1, 108-pound right-handed hitting middle infielder. The glove is solid in the infield and he works his feet through the fielding process. Threw 52 mph across the diamond, the arm works freely. The bat has a tee exit velocity of 59 mph. The setup is even in base, front foot steps into the swing as the ball approaches. The hands work freely and the path is simple to contact. On the mound, the fastball touched 54 mph. The delivery is online with the feet and the arm slot is above 3/4 in height. The lift is repeated and the actions are fluid in act.
