Carter is an athletic, talented outfield prospect. He hits out of a closed, balanced stance. The hands are relaxed just off the back shoulder. During his rounds, Carter showed the ability to hit a lot of line drives in the middle of the diamond with a direct, flat path. He finishes well and remains balanced throughout. Defensively, Carter is really athletic in the outfield. The feet are light and his exchange is clean. The arm swing is loose and he stays in line with his target. He also had a vertical of 73.5 cm. On the mound, Carter has a fluid, athletic delivery. He gets to a good position at the top, separates well and heads down the mound in line with home plate. His finish is a bit violent, causing him to finish hard to his glove side. The arm is loose and works out of a higher ¾ slot producing a fastball that sits (72-73 MPH) with some late arm side run. Carter also mixed in a big 12/6 curveball and a really good changeup.
