Marino is a 5-foot-10, 130 pound prospect. The right-handed hitting infielder had an exit velocity of 79 mph off the tee. He hits out of an athletic, slightly open stance, with the hands set just off the back shoulder. He uses a toe tap to initiate his load. The swing itself is flat, to and through the hitting zone. His extension stays on plane, allowing his quick hands to generate nice carry.
Defensively, he was 72 mph on his throws in the infield. The feet are light and he moves well getting into a balanced fielding position. He breaks down behind the ground ball and the glove is relaxed out in front. As he transitions to throw, the hands are soft and the feet create a good line with the throwing target. The arm-swing is clean and he finishes through on his throws.
