8/8/18

6-foot, 185-pound right-handed pitcher. Threw the ball very well at the event. The slot is slightly above ¾ and the feet are online to the plate. The arm works clean and free. The tracking of the front shoulder is done appropriately. The glove side is soft and posted as he makes his way into foot strike. The finish is clean and solid in direction. The fastball touched 85 mph, minimal arm side run to the pitch. Showed solid command of the fastball . The spin pitch is good in shape and he throws it with good hand speed, the pitch sat at 69-70 mph. The changeup is solid in fade and action, the pitch was 71-73 mph. Continues to improve each time we see him throw.

6-foot, 180-pound quick arm right-hander. It has been a year since we last saw Jack and he is trending appropriately. The fastball is 80-81 with arm side run and he showed the ability to command it on both sides of the plate. Showed good arm side run on his 2-seam fastball. The spin pitch was 68-69 mph, additional fastball hand speed is needed for the pitch to take off. The changeup is 70-71 mph, shows promise. The delivery is quick in tempo, repeated and athletic. The lift is waist high, small coil at the top and then he makes his way into foot strike. The tracking of the front shoulder is done properly, and he shows a good amount of forward lean as he gets into the delivery. I am willing to bet he will be 85-86 in the coming year with an improved spin pitch, the arm has good quickness to it.

6-foot, 160-pound right-hander out of the Rose Baseball program. One of the sleepers from the event as the arm works and the frame is thin now. The slot is slightly above ¾ and the arm works clean and free. The delivery has forward lean to it, coil with the hips at the top of the lift. The feet need to get timed up with ball hand for him to maximize his potential. The stuff has the makings of being excellent. The fastball has boar and life to it, sitting at 77 mph. The spin pitch has the correct shape to it, sits at 64 mph. The changeup is a good pitch for him sits at 70 mph with fade and sink. This guys velocities are average now for his age, but look for him to jump with physical strength and weight gain. The arm is quick and he shows feel for pitching.
