6-foot-1, 220-pound right-hander who is developing very nicely since we last saw him. The fastball was up to 87 mph, with plus downhill plane to it. The breaking ball is much improved, as its harder and more 11/7 in rotation. The pitch sat in the mid 70’s, with more to come to it. The changeup is coming along nicely, as it shows fade and sink to it. The pitch sat at 76-78 mph, which is bit to firm for me. The delivery is online and repeated, pitches out of a plus ¾ arm slot. Small amount of glove side pull to the delivery as he comes off target a bit early. Should have a good senior year as his fastball at times can be plus, and should make the jump to D1 with ease.
High slot right-handed pitcher who has moxy and good stuff to go along with it. The delivery has a simple leg lift and is on time. The fastball has a very good downward plane, touching 87 mph. The plane of the fastball is intriguing because it gives teams a different look on the mound. The spin pitch is 12/6 and very good at times, touched 72 mph. The changeup was 80 mph and is a work in progress. I like this guy, he throws strikes and if you believe in pitching on different planes, he's your guy.
Right-handed pitcher who fits the bill of a durable and thick right-hander. Fastball has ride to it and sits in the mid 80’s. The breaking ball could be special down the road, as it is 12/6 and has good depth to it. Pitch is in the 70’s already. Shows a changeup but it is still a work in progress. The delivery is repeated, has a little pull to glove side in it but his feet are on-line. Has an aggressive approach to pitching and loves to get out there and compete. With a jump he could be a big prospect as the arm strength is there.
Big and thick right-handed arm who decided to prep a year at Worcester Academy. Pitched from a high-¾ slot with downhill action to his 85-87 mph fastball. He showed the ability to be under control of his delivery and to throw strikes early and often. The delivery is slow and meticulous. The ball comes out of his hand very well and gets to the hitter quickly. The breaking pitch is small and tight, touched 76 and had good tilt to it. Showed the ability to spin the ball for strikes and handle the running game. The changeup is a work in progress and he didn't use it in the game, but showed it in warm ups at 75. Good looking prospect that should garner a ton of attention for the class of 2017.
