Matt Cronin: 1B/RHP, (2026) Sharon, MA. 5-foot-11, 195-pound solid frame. Projectable during batting practice, the left-handed hitter clocked an exit velocity of 86 mph. (64.7 mph bat speed average). (18.3 mph hand speed average). Began in a wide closed stance with a controlled load, then used a small stride. Bat speed is developing, displays an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He found multiple barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Capable while in the infield, recorded position velocities up to 69 mph; has developing consistent feet, a natural clean exchange, and developing hands. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing athletically. Used a ¾ slot and a consistent arm action while showing decent accuracy to the bag. Capable on the mound, had a ¾ arm angle and a consistent arm action with developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who shows some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 72-73 mph; shows running sinking action and control arm side in the zone. (Max spin 1853; Avg 1702). He has a straight changeup (67-68). Showed slurvey action and glove side around the zone control on his slider (66-67). (Max spin 1574; Avg 1574).
