Hit: (RHH) Above average. Begins in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a toe tap stride. Above average quick bat speed. Good extension on his finish, flat loose swing. Gap to gap approach.
Power: 89 mph exit velocity, average 79.21 mph. 66.39 mph bat speed average. 19.53 mph hand speed average.
Defense: (C) 2.06-2.09 pop times. Soft hands, developing aggressive footwork, clean exchange. Projectable. Clean setup with some flexibility.
Arm: 74 mph catcher velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.
Speed: 6.78 (60-yard).
5-foot-11, 180-pound right-handed hitting catcher. He ran a 6.85 sixty at the event. The movements behind the dish are athletic and he shows an improving skill set. He threw 67 mph down to second base with a pop time of 2.13. The receiving needs to continue to soften and working on securing the catch is imperative. The bat has an exit velocity of 85 mph. The setup is close together with the feet and the front foot gains ground to the baseball as the swing is produced. The hands work free and produce an uphill path through contact with the baseball.
