Nick Wenstrom: OF/RHP, (2025) Xaverian, MA. 5-foot-8, 150-pound lean athletic build. Projectable and athletic during batting practice, Wenstrom clocked an exit velocity of 85 mph. (67.6 mph bat speed average). (19.4 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced wide stance with a controlled load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed was developing, used a flat simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. He created loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Athletic and projectable in the outfield, he showed a plus arm and had life on his throws with a position velocity of 90 mph;shows a natural exchange, developing athletic feet, and developing soft hands. Fielded the ball out front with athletic movement laterally. Consistent accuracy to the bag, used a very quick arm action and a high ¾ slot. Projectable and athletic on the mound, showed above average arm speed with a high ¾ arm angle and a clean consistent arm action. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point and in line shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Threw his fastball 81-82 mph; shows command arm side in the zone and running sinking action. (Max spin 2107; Avg 2037). Showed glove side around the zone control and sweeping action on his curveball (70-71). (Max spin 2349; Avg 2343). Shows arm side control and gradual fading action on his changeup (74-75).
