The swing takes a simple, flat path to and through the hitting zone. During his rounds, he showed the ability to stay balanced and work gap to gap. Behind the plate, Johnston was 68 MPH during throw downs. His initial setup is clean. His feet are square, with the glove in the center of his chest and his head up.
