Tyler Wong: RHP/3B, (2023) Newton South, MA. is a physical 5-foot-10, 205-pound infield prospect. At the plate, Wong had an impressive 93 MPH exit velocity. He starts in a balanced, open stance with his hands set in a good position just off the back shoulder. The load is clean, allowing him to be in a good position to start his swing. The path takes a quick, upward path through the hitting zone and finishes balanced. He showed evident bat speed and some pop to the pull side. In the infield, Wong was 74 MPH on his throws across the diamond. As he moved through the ground balls, he showed sure hands, a clean exchange, and consistent, smooth footwork. 

Wong is a 5-foot-10, 175 pound right-handed hitting infield prospect. Wong hits out of an open stance, with his hands set next to his ear. He uses a knee slide to get into a square, athletic launch position before getting the bat into a direct path through contact. His hands work nicely in his swing and showed some pull side pop, as evidenced by his max exit velocity of 86 MPH. The finish is balanced and continued on plane.

Defensively, Wong was 76 MPH on his throws from the infield. The feet work well to get him into a fundamental fielding position. As he transitions through the ground ball, the glove is soft bringing the ball up to the exchange. The hips and shoulders stay over the feet, allowing him to get into a strong throwing position and create a good line with his target. The arm-swing is short and he finishes through the play, keeping the same good line to his target.

On the mound, Wong uses a short, simple delivery to get balance and create good direction with home plate. He keeps the same short arm-swing he uses from the infield to deliver to the plate, resulting in a fastball that sits 69-73 MPH with some arm-side run. The breaking ball is a nice, big sweeping pitch that sits 62-63 MPH.
