5-foot-11, 180 pounds, wiry, projectable frame. His shoulders have slope and it doesn’t take much see significant strength gains in the coming years. Dominguez ran a 7.53 60 yard dash during the workout. A left-handed pitcher, there is a lot to like about his profile. The delivery is smooth and online to the plate. He throws from a high ¾ slot with an average leg kick, but generates good extension. There is a slight sit on the backside out of the windup and when he missed, it was high as a the arm dragged behind the rest of the body. With further refinement, Dominguez should consistently pound the zone. He gets downhill on his pitches when everything is in sync. His fastball consistently sat between 78-79 MPH, generating arm side run. This number should continue to climb in the coming seasons. The curveball, which comes in between 68-70 MPH, has tilt and depth. It shows a promising 1/7 shape and has the potential to become a consistent swing-and-miss offering. Dominguez throws a knuckleball 68-71 MPH, and there is a lot to like about the pitch. There is hard, late downward tumble on the pitch, making it difficult for hitters to square up. Dominguez has the potential to make a splash as a 2019 prospect. With a strong spring and summer, he should see his stock improve heading into his senior year.
