Zachary Mendes: RHP/SS, (2026) Old Rochester Regional, MA. 105-pound lean build. Capable in the box, the right-handed hitter recorded an exit velocity of 71 mph. Began in a wide open stance with a low handsy load, then used a closed small stride. Has developing bat speed, long level swing plane and level finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Capable while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 68 mph; showed developing feet, a natural exchange, and developing hands. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Had a high ¾ slot and decent accuracy to the base. Clocked a time of 8.2 in the 60-yard dash. Raw on the mound, used a ¾ arm angle with a consistent arm action while showing developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 69-70 mph; showed decent command and running sinking action. (Max spin 1776; Avg 1705). Has slurvey action and glove side around the zone control on his curveball (65-66). (Max spin 1498; Avg 1429). His changeup (60-61) has fading gradual action and arm side command.

In the round he found a few barrels. Up the middle line drive approach. Capable in the infield, recorded a position velocity of 66 mph; has developing feet, a natural exchange, and developing hands. Laterally, movements were developing and fielded the ball out front. Had a consistent arm action and a high ¾ slot. Recorded a time of 8.77 in the 60-yard dash. Capable on the mound, showed developing arm speed with a loose consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Feel type pitcher and used some effort. Showed consistent balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with an athletic finish. Sat with his fastball at 65-66 mph; shows command arm side in the zone and running action. (Max spin 1462; Avg 1433). Has glove side in the zone control and sweeping action on his curveball (51-55). (Max spin 1407; Avg 1254). His straight changeup (61-62) showed around the zone command.
