Ajay Devendran: RHP/SS, (2027) The Roxbury Latin School, MA. 5-foot-11, 155-pound lean build. Projectable at the plate, the hitter's best exit velocity was 85 mph. Starts in a balanced stance with a high load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed was developing, displays an uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. He barreled up multiple balls with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Capable while in the infield, registered his best throw across the diamond at 74 mph; has a natural exchange, developing soft hands, and developing consistent feet. Fields the ball out front, movements laterally were developing. Showed consistent accuracy to the base and a high ¾ slot. Capable on the mound, used an over-the-top arm angle with a consistent arm action while showing developing arm speed. Feel type pitcher who uses some effort. During his delivery, balance point is tall with on- line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 73-74 mph; shows command arm side around the zone and running action. (Max spin 1914; Avg 1864). His curveball (65-66) showed sweeping action and glove side control. (Max spin 2044; Avg 1975).
