Coleman Walsh: C/RHP, (2027) The Governor’s Academy, MA. 185-pound athletic projectable frame. Capable in the box, Walsh recorded an exit velocity of 81 mph. Sets up in a narrow balanced stance with a closed small stride. Bat speed was developing, displayed a loose swing plane and level good extension on his finish. He barreled up some balls with some loud contact. Line drive approach. Behind the plate, throw downs to second topped out at 69 mph; had a natural transfer, developing hands, and developing footwork. Showed a high ¾ slot and consistent accuracy to the base. Projectable on the mound, showing developing arm speed he used a ¾ arm angle with a consistent arm action. Feel type pitcher and showed effort. Balance point is tall with in line shoulders during delivery. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Threw his fastball 76-77 mph; showed control around the zone arm side and running sinking action. (Max spin 2139; Avg 2019). Had sweeping action and glove side control on his curveball (62-63). (Max spin 2058; Avg 2045). Showed fading gradual action and glove side command on his changeup (65-66).
