Ethan Ocwieja: RHP/OF, (2027) Boston Latin, MA. 155-pound lean athletic build. Projectable during batting practice, the hitter had an exit velocity of 88 mph. (66.7 mph bat speed average). (20.3 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced narrow stance with a low load, then uses a small stride. Bat speed was developing, showed a loose simple swing plane and good extension on his finish. Found lots of barrels with loud contact. Gap to gap approach. Athletic and projectable from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 86 mph; has developing, soft hands, a natural exchange, and developing athletic feet. Laterally, movements were athletic and fielded the ball out front. Had a quick arm action and consistent accuracy to the bag. Projectable on the mound, showed above average developing arm speed with a loose consistent arm action and a high ¾ arm angle. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. In his delivery his balance point is tall with in line shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Produced a fastball that came in at 80-81 mph; has arm side control and running sinking action. (Max spin 2387; Avg 2100). Has glove side around the zone command and sweeping action on his curveball (70-71). (Max spin 2433; Avg 2383). His changeup (73-74) had gradual fading action and arm side control.
