Infield Velocity
The athlete's maximum throwing velocity from an infield position in the given event year. Measured in miles per hour (MPH).
76.0
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
The reactive strength index measurement of an athlete's explosiveness by comparing their jump height to the ground contact time in between their jumps. On a scale of 0-5.
Vertical Jump
A measure of any athlete's body strength and reach calculated from the flight time divided by the contact time.
Scouting Report: 5-foot-9, 160-pound, thin athletic frame with room for added weight gains. A right-handed hitter, starts even with a wide base. The hands are loose and relaxed at the shoulders, with some movement to them. The approach was more middle of the field. The swing was level through the zone, keeping the hands inside the baseball. The exit velocity was clocked at 82 mph. Defensively, showed a wide base on the catch, staying low to the ground, moved well to glove side, easy transfer to the throw. The arm was clocked at 75 mph, loose arm action with room for added velocity. Off the mound, off the mound, simple delivery, using an athletic lift, inline direction to the plate. The arm action is loose and whippy, working from a 3/4 slot. The fastball was clocked 76 mph, with arm side run. Alos mixed in a harder slider at 71 mph. Shows projection off the mound.

Irving Taveras: 3B/RHP, (2027) Haverhill High, MA. 5-foot-9, 160-pound lean athletic frame. Capable in the box, Taveras best exit velocity was 82 mph. (60.5 mph bat speed average). (20.8 mph hand speed average). Begins in a balanced wide stance with a high long load, then uses a small stride. Has developing bat speed, long loose swing plane and high finish. Was able to create some loud contact and found some barrels. Line drive approach. Capable while in the infield, made throws at velocities up to 77 mph; showed developing soft hands, developing feet, and a natural exchange. Fielded the ball out front with developing movement laterally. Showed consistent accuracy to the bag and a high ¾ slot. Capable on the mound, showed an over-the-top arm angle and a consistent arm action with developing arm speed. Up-tempo type pitcher and uses some effort. Showed consistent balance point and falling off shoulders. Lands closed with a falling off finish. Sat with his fastball at 75-76 mph; had running sinking action and arm side control. (Max spin 2060; Avg 1912). Shows slurvey action and glove side command on his cutter (72-74).
