Ryan Kolben: C/1B, (2022) Greely, ME. Massachusetts-Amherst Commit, 6-foot-1, 195-pound athletic and  projectable build. Above average and  projectable in the box, the right-handed hitter had a max exit velocity of 97 mph. (74.7 mph bat speed average). (22.9 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a small load, then uses a short stride. Had above average bat speed, uphill loose swing plane and good extension on his finish. Was able to create loud contact and found lots of barrels. Aggressive approach. While catching, he made strong, efficient throws to second at velocities up to 80 mph; showed a quick clean transfer, athletic developing feet, and soft sure hands. displayed next-level catching ability by boasting a 1.97-1.99 pop time. Average flexibility and athletic clean setup. From a high ¾ slot, showed consistent accuracy to the base with a loose arm action. Recorded a 60 time of 7.54 at the event.  (Max spin ; Avg ).

Hit: (RHH) Above average and projectable. Began in a balanced athletic stance with a small load, then used a short stride. Above average bat speed. Good extension on his finish, uphill loose swing. Aggressive approach. 

Power: 97 mph exit velocity, average 87.4 mph. 74.7 mph bat speed average. 22.9 mph hand speed average.

Defense: (C) 1.97-1.99 pop times. Soft sure hands, athletic developing footwork, quick clean exchange. Above average projectable. Average flexibility and athletic clean setup. 

Arm: 80 mph catcher velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy. 

Speed: 7.54 (60-yard).
