6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed hitting catcher.  Athletic catcher who could jump into the outfield if need be. Ran a 4.69 down the line on his dig to first base. Bat has a tee exit velocity of 82 mph. Sets up with his feet wide and hands set low. Uses a small pick up and put down of the front foot as the ball approaches. The path is long and around to contact but the hands are really quick that he gets the barrel there. Improving the direction of the bat will help his authority at contact. Defensively, I thought he threw the ball better in game play, but showed well during the defensively workout. Pop time of 2.0 out of a quick transfer. Threw 73 mph down to second base. The release is real quick and he tends to stand too upright as he gets into throwing motion. Tools are there to throw, the receiving needs to improve. Spending time securing the catch and softening the glove are vital.  Good looking 2020.
