Jack Lawson: OF/RHP, (2025) Barrington, RI. 5-foot-11, 145-pound lean athletic build. Projectable and athletic in the box, Lawson had an exit velocity of 82 mph. (70.6 mph bat speed average). (21.6 mph hand speed average). Starts in a balanced athletic stance with a controlled load, then uses a short stride. Has developing bat speed and flat loose swing plane. Created loud contact and found multiple barrels. Gap to gap aggressive approach. Athletic from the outfield, he made throws to the infield at velocities up to 84 mph; showed developing athletic feet, a natural exchange, and twitchy soft hands. Movements laterally were athletic developing and he fields the ball out front. Had a high ¾ slot and a quick arm action with consistent accuracy to the bag. Projectable on the mound, shows a developing arm speed, he had a clean arm action with a high ¾ arm angle. Feel slow-tempo type pitcher who shows some effort. Tall balance point with in line shoulders. Lands closed with recoil finish. Sat with his fastball at 79-80 mph; had running action and control arm side around the zone. (Max spin 2206; Avg 2132). His curveball (68-69) has glove side around the zone command and sweeping action. (Max spin 2498; Avg 2456). His changeup (72-74) shows arm side command and gradual fading action.
