5-foot-7, 128-pound, small, thin frame, has plenty of room to add weight and muscle on. A right-handed hitter, the stance is open at shoulder height, the bat starts flat on his back shoulder. For timing, uses a controlled high leg kick, hands have separation to them from his body, gets loaded up well, has a little arm bar with them. The swing is loose, free, it’s level to up and finishes with one hand above the shoulder. The approach was middle of the field, second round of BP was good, made solid contact. Defensively, worked out in the outfield, prep steps were good, attacks the baseball well, gets behind it, uses momentum well and comes through hard. The arm action is longer, has a slight pause at the bottom of the path, with some coil to it, closes down the frontside well. The ball comes out of a higher slot, clocked at 71 mph, throws were on the bag. Off the mound, this right-hander, has a compact delivery, hands start low, work up with leg raise, which is high and has coil to it and he gets to a good gather position. The arm action has average length, has some wrap to it and ball comes out of a high ¾ slot. The front leg lands closed and slightly across his body, glove side is in line with minimal pull to it. The fastball was clocked at 69-70 mph, threw strikes with it. The changeup had feel to it, with action to arm side, clocked at 63-65 mph. The breaking ball was thrown at 54-58 mph. Strength is a must will help in his development, look to ease the wrap in the throwing motion.
