3/24/19

5-foot-8, 140-pound, smaller, thin athletic frame. Rounded shoulders, showing to have wiry strength to him. At the plate, hits from the right side, higher hand set, flat bat. The feet are wider than shoulder width, even, balanced. The lower half is under control, small controlled leg kick, gains ground with stride foot. The swing is level through the zone, approach is line drive from gap to gap. The tee exit velocity was clocked at  77 mph and ran 4.21 from home to first. The feet are quick and athletic, moves well, gets off the blocks quick. Defensively, from the outfield, threw 76 mph from a higher slot, arm path is clean and short on the backside. The feet are clean, steps through gains ground, could lengthen a bit. Throws are down hill with carry to them. Strength will aid in the development.

Exit Velocity: 77 mph
Arm Velocity: 66 mph

3/24/18

5-foot-8, 130 pounds, lean, average athletic build. The shoulders have some slope and as a sophomore, Mandeville still has plenty of time to strengthen the frame. An outfielder, Mandeville’s arm was clocked up to 70 MPH off the hop during the workout. He works from a ¾ to high ¾ slot with a fluid arm swing. Will need to work on transitions from fielding to throwing, allowing the arm and body to work together, which should help him see a velocity spike. At the plate, the stance begins slightly open with the bat rested on the shoulder. The legs rock back with an extended kick, while the hands work fluidly through the zone. The bat path is mostly level tailored towards line drives. Could engage his lower half more in the swing. Average bat speed. Exit velocity off the tee was measured at 73 MPH. Adding strength to the frame is the next step in his development, as it will bolster his game on the offensive and defensive ends.

40-Yard Dash: 4.03
Exit Velocity: 73 MPH
Arm Velocity: 70 MPH
