79.0
Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
5-foot-10, 155-pound, longer, lean athletic frame, shows to have some twitchiness to him, room for added weight. A right-handed hitting two-way middle infielder/pitcher. At the plate, even feet, slightly wider than shoulder width, hands are loose and relaxed at the shoulders. Lower half is under control, small leg kick, gaining ground. The swing is level through the zone, short to contact, finishing with one hand at the shoulder height. Could finish a tick higher, getting through it more. The approach is more gap to gap, shooting line drives. The tee exit velocity 75 mph, and ran a 7.44. Defensively, is advanced, clean prep steps, hands are soft, works out front, low to ground. Moves well to both sides backhands are made with ease. Showed proper starts and feeds on double plays. The arm action is super clean, whippy, clocked at 75 mph, looks to have enough arm to stick on the left side. Advanced defensively. Off the mound, repeats the delivery, easy athletic leg lift. The arm works out of a clean high 3/4 slot. The fastball touched 79 mph, lived in the bottom part of the zone with 2-seam action, late action. The curveball reached 67 mph, break is bigger from top to bottom. Look for the velocity to jump, arm really work well. Solid prospect.

4/11/19
5-foot-10, 155-pound, longer, lean athletic frame, has plenty of room for future development. A right-handed hitter, wider even stance, hands are held at the shoulders, bat tilted and loaded up. The lower half is under control for timing, small pick up and put down. The swing is level through the zone, finishing with one hand at shoulder height. The approach is more gap to gap spraying one line drive after another. Swing creates backspin at times, had a tee exit velocity of 74 mph and ran a 7.53 sixty-yard dash, long clean athletic strides. Defensively, the footwork is advanced, gets around the baseball, move throughout. The hands are soft on the catch, with a clean transfer into throwing arm. The arm was clocked at 71 mph, arm should take off and add velocity. Feeds and turns were clean around the bag, should have enough to stick on left side. Off the mound, pounded the zone with a two pitch mix, 2 seamer has down sinking action clocked at 76 mph. The breaking reached 65 mph, depth with good spin, thrown properly. Delivery is repeatable, arm is clean from a ¾ slot, could lengthen stride length. Look for velocity to climb, projects for me more off mound long term.
