Power / Speed Score
A simple calculation that divides the athlete’s Exit Velocity Max by the athlete’s 60 Yard Dash time for the given event year. For example, 98 MPH / 7.00s = 14.00.
6-foot-2, 150-pound, long, lengthy athletic frame, with room for added strength. A two-way player, projects off the mound more for me. The delivery is deliberate, hands start low, work up with leg lift. The post leg could be stronger, slight collapse, separation is on time, direction is slightly across his body. The arm action is longer on the back side, opens it early on the up swing, working out of a natural 3/4 slot, with good extension out front. The fastball was clocked at 75 mph, located it to both sides of the plate. The breaking ball shows to have proper top to bottom spin, showed feel for the changeup as well, clocked at 67 mph. Pounded the zone with a 3 pitch mix. Offensively, hits from the right side, feet are even at the shoulders, hands are held higher, with a tilted setup. The lower half is under control, small, smooth toe-tap. The swing is level through the zone, staying in the middle part of the field, one line drive after another. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 76 mph, ran a quick 4.25 from home to 1st. Defensively, threw 72 mph across the diamond, showed proper starts and turns on the double play feeds. Moved well to glove well to backhand side, hands look to be soft on the catch. Strength will aid in the development, the feel off the mound is advanced.

Body Type: 5-foot-11, 131-pound, thin, lengthy athletic frame. The shoulders are rounded, has room for added weight and mass. Hit: A right-handed hitter, feet are even, hands are loose, set above the shoulders, with the bat having tilt to them. The lower half is under control, simple stride, pick up and put down. The swing is level to up through the zone. The barrel stays in the zone, looks to spray it to all fields. The barrel has whip and life out front on contact. Power: The tee exit velocity was clocked at 74 mph with more in there with added strength. The approach is more line drive from gap to gap. Run: Ran the sixty-yard dash in 7.76, clean long strider, room to improve. Offensive Production: Look for him to handle the bat, contact guy, potential to hit at the next level. Field: The hands are soft, works low to the ground, fields out front, into a clean transfer. The feet move well to both sides and gets through the baseball. Arm: The arm was clocked at 70 mph, with more in there as he gets stronger. The arm swing is longer, works out of a natural ¾ slot. Throws were accurate and had carry to them. The starts and feeds were on time with rhythm to them. Defensive Production: Projects out for me as more of an offensive second baseman. Pitching Delivery/Mechanical: Easy clean delivery, repeats it with ease. The hands start and stay high, lower half is inline and gets out front on release. The arm works out of a higher slot, pitches downhill for the most part. Worked quick with a good tempo, times to the plate were at 1.37. Fastball: The fastball was clocked at 74 mph, with action to the 2-seamer. The 4-seamer was clocked to glove side. Curveball: The breaking ball was thrown slower, bigger break, clocked at 58-59 mph, needs to be thrown with more fastball hand speed. Changeup: Clocked at 60-64 mph, showed true fade and action to arm side, comes out of the hand looking like a fastball. Pitch-Ability: Threw all three pitches for strikes, working the corners. The delivery is repeatable with easy effort. Future Role: Solid two-way player, look for to be able to pitch out of the bullpen. Added strength and conditioning will aid in his development.

5-foot-10, 125-pound, average, skinny athletic frame, neck is long, shoulders are rounded, has plenty of room to fill out and add mass and weight. A right-handed hitting middle infielder, who is balanced in the box, has simple approach to the baseball. The stance is even, the feet are even, slightly wider than shoulder width. The hands start high and stay back, small simple controlled stride, back leg is engaged, helps getting the hands to the baseball. The approach is more line drive middle of the field. The swing is level through the zone, hands stay inside the baseball, looks to spray it all over. The tee exit velocity was clocked at 72 MPH and ran a 7.78 60 yard-dash. Defensively, the hands and actions are good, works low to the ground with hands out front on the catch. The feet stay active throughout, quick and crisp steps, lead into his throw, arm works from a higher ¾ slot, clocked at 71 MPH. The arm action opens a tick early, feeds and starts were correct from the left side of the bag. Off the mound, has a simple, easy repeatable delivery, works down hill and threw good low strikes. The fastball was clocked at 70-71 MPH, breaking ball at 56-58 MPH, more top to bottom break. The changeup is still a work in progress, clocked at 63-67 mph. Projects for me as more of a middle infielder, still young has plenty of time for added strength and continued development of his game.
