7.25.18

5-foot-9, 160-pounds, strong, thick, athletic frame. A right-handed hitting catcher, wide, balanced setup behind the dish. The hands are soft on the catch, gets around the baseball, and works hard on the low ball. The transfer is clean, glove goes across the face with little wasted movement. The arm works out of a natural ¾ slot, average to tick above for arm strength, pop time of 2.15. Throws were on or close to the bag. Offensively, hits from the right side, hands are loose, has a small leg kick, gains ground with stride foot and uses the entire body to hit the baseball. The approach is more line driving working the baseball from gap to gap. The tee exit velocity was an easy 85 mph and ran a 7.69 sixty yard-dash, moves well for a catcher.

Sixty-Yard Dash: 7.69

Exit Velocity: 85 MPH

3-24-18

5-foot-9, 160 pounds, broad, flat shoulders on an average athletic frame. Still room to add strength to the upper and lower halves. As a catcher, Levy shows solid hands tracking pitches. His throws were measured up to 70 MPH out of the chute. Throws from a high ¾ slot with a quick first step. Pop time band sat between 2.06-2.25. Minor hitch in the arm swing that, if fixed, would help shave off some time. As a hitter, Levy starts from an upright, even-to-slightly closed stance with feet set shoulder width apart. The hands work away from the body at shoulder height with a minor bat waggle. Small step into the swing, solid hip rotation, and a one hand finish. Level bat path. At times bat can trail the rest of the body. Tee exit velocity was clocked at 76 MPH. An uncommitted 2019 prospect, there is still room for development physically.

40-Yard Dash: 4.12

Exit Velocity: 76 MPH

Arm Velocity: 70 MPH
