Berner is a young 23’ grad who has a ton of projection physically as the legs are long and the upper half has lots of room to fill out. The actions on the mound are what made us take notice with Berner and the body control, tempo, and quickness of the arm out front are what make Berner real interesting. His curveball had a max spin rate of 2264 RPM at 69 mph and we can really see that becoming a pitch that had potential to be a put out and swing and miss. The fastball worked in the low 80’s and envision that number really jumping over the off-season and into next summer.
