Uncommitted Spotlight Cody Albright

We continue our coverage of uncommitted players, spotlighting them to help maximize their exposure and assist them in the recruiting process. Today, we look at 2021 RHP Cody Albright (Notre Dame Prep).

+ 2021 RHP Cody Albright (Notre Dame Prep)- After a spring where Albright didn't see many innings due to covid and being behind a couple college bound arms for his HS team, he was able to boost his name over the course of the summer & fall seasons. Albright recently came to our Uncommitted Upperclass Showcases where he had the highest velocity of the day. We were also able to see him in some tournament action during the Senior Fall Classic. Albright displays a lengthy pitchers body at 6-foot-3 190-pounds with strength & some durability to build off. He throws with simple long arm action from a higher slot and release with good extension. In his recent bullpen session with PBR, his FB worked 85-87mph with arm side movement, topping out at 88mph via Trackman. We have also had reports that he's topped as high as 90mph on occasions this fall. He mixes in a 12/6 CV at 69-70mph & a CH with sink/run at 77-80mph. As he gains more experience and fluidity through his delivery, we wouldn't be surprised to see some jumps from Albright in the future.

6-foot-3 190-pounds, uncommitted, long lengthy frame, high waisted with broad shoulders, strength & some durability to build off. Shows some stiffness to a simple delivery with strong upper body. Maintains some back foot connections as his pelvis opens slightly coming down the mound. Throws with long arm action from a higher slot and release with good forward truck tilt & extension. His FB worked 85-87mph with arm side movement, topping out at 88mph via Trackman which was the top velocity of the day. He mixes in a 12/6 CV at 69-70mph & a CH with sink/run at 77-80mph. As he gains more experience and fluidity through his delivery, we wouldn't be surprised to see some jumps in the future.
