PBR Iowa strives to be the most comprehensive source of player information across the state. The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. Our multimedia platforms and events work in tandem, ultimately creating the most powerful source of high school baseball promotion in each state. While other organizations take a national approach, our goal is to become the authoritative voice on the ground level of each state.

PBR: Why did you choose the school you did?
KAUFMAN: I chose DMACC because the coaches were awesome and it is close to home so my family can come and watch me.
PBR: What other schools were you considering?
KAUFMAN: I was also considering Heartland CC, Upper Iowa, and Grand View.
PBR: Where did the coaching staff first see you? How did your relationship develop with him?
KAUFMAN: I do not know exactly when they first saw me, but I started building a relationship with them after the Iowa Sticks PBR day.
PBR: Do you feel relieved now that the process is over and you can just focus on baseball and not deal with everything that goes into picking a school?
KAUFMAN: I am definitely relieved that the process is over because now all I have to do is play baseball.
PBR: Was there one deciding factor that put your choice over the top?
KAUFMAN: The biggest factor to making my decision was I felt the coaches would help me develop to be able to play at the next level.
PBR: Who has helped you the most to get to where you are today?
KAUFMAN: My parents have helped me the most by pushing me to get better on the field and in the classroom.
PBR: What were your expectations about the recruiting process? Was it easy/difficult?
KAUFMAN: I thought the recruiting process was going to be easy, but it was difficult because I had a very busy schedule.
PBR: What plans does the coaching staff have in store for you in your freshman season?
KAUFMAN: I am not 100% sure what my role will be, but they are going to help me develop more velocity and command on all of my pitches.
PBR: What is your most memorable baseball moment to date?
KAUFMAN: My most memorable moment was when I threw a perfect game my freshman fall year.
PBR: Who is the best player that you have competed against?
KAUFMAN: The best player that I have competed against is Carter Baumler. You have to very careful where you put pitches against him.
