Kentucky Country Day senior Will Smith delivered an extremaly impressive week last week for the 13-6 Bearcats.  The 5-foot-11, 180-pound Smith, a Louisville recruit, posted numbers that stood out among the large number of nominations we received for our Player of the Week award.

In four games (3 wins), Smith went 10-for-16 at the plate with 3 doubles, 3 home runs, and 9 RBI.

As if that wasn't enough, Smith picked up the win in throwing a complete game in a district matchup against Eastern in which he allowed just two hits and one earned run.  He finished the game with a nine strikeout performance.

In honor of his performance on the field last week, Will Smith has been named the Kentucky Player of the Week.
