Despite the abnormally cold start to the season, it's hard to imagine the bat of Jimmy Wright being much hotter. The Madison Central senior catcher, who will continue his baseball career at Morehead State next season, went on a tear to start the season last week.
In 3 games, all victories for No.18 Madison Central, Wright went 7-for-10 with 2 doubles, 1 triple, 2 HR's, and 11 RBI. Both of Wright's home runs were grand slams.
In honor of his performance on the field last week, Wright has been named the Prep Baseball Report Kentucky Player of the Week.
Please send all weekly statistics, Saturday through Saturday, before noon on Monday to Chris Fuller at [email protected] . Please also include the player’s season statistics, in addition to any other pertinent information. The more information the better.
