As the weather turned somewhat wet last week, a lot of teams around the state found themselves struggling to get games in, North Laurel included.  The Jaguars, however, did manage to play two games, and it's hard to imagine Marcus Carson faring any better than he did in those two victories.

The senior, who will continue his education and baseball career at the University of Kentucky, had what you might call a perfect week.  

In the two games, Carson went 9-for-9 with a double, triple, 2 home runs, and 7 RBI. 

In addition, he threw two scoreless innings in relief, striking out 4 of the 6 hitters he faced.

For the season, Carson is batting .516 with 8 doubles, 5 triples, 4 home runs, 23 RBI, and 22 stolen bases.

In honor of his performance on the field, Marcus Carson has been named the Kentucky Player of the Week.
