PBR Kentucky Player of the Week (April 12-17): C Matt Klein

kleinOur second installment of PBR Kentucky Player of the Week for the 2021 season covers games played last week from April 12-17.

While there were several big performances last week, one player’s week stood out, a performance that included coming up huge in a battle of top 5 Power 25 teams.

Trinity uncommitted 2022 catcher Matt Klein played a big role in five Trinity wins last week (two over Power 25 teams). During that five-game stretch, the left-handed hitting catcher went 8-for-15 with a double, triple, two home runs, and 8 RBIs.

For the season, Klein is among the offensive leaders for the loaded Rocks lineup in several different statistical categories. He ranks first in hits (20), doubles (4), and batting average (.571), second in runs (20), walks (13), and triples (3). and third in RBIs (18), and home runs (4).

For his outstanding performance on the field, Matt Klein has been selected the PBR Kentucky Player of The Week for April 12-17.
